Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance intending to disclose all specifics via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.

Until December 2024, Paramount had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not yet commented regarding the report.
