Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Beach
A helicopter hovering near a popular coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Videos shared online capture the aircraft beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
